Oral Solid Dose Facility Expansion

Project Details: The OSD facility expansion included the design and construct of a full refurbishment at the existing Salisbury Site, in Adelaide. The oral solid dose area has now expanded with an increased manufacturing capacity including 8 new suites, fully equipped with new manufacturing equipment. The project required procurement of new equipment, interfacing and extending existing services, installation of new equipment to upgrade utilities & review of the site’s safety management processes. 

Services Provided: GRG was able to provide a variety of key services to the project. These are summarised below:  

  • All facets of Project Management:
    • liaising with local, interstate, international vendors and contractors on behalf of the client
    • leading and co-ordinating plant risk assessments
    • participation in HAZOP assessments
    • co-ordinating Site Acceptance Testing and Qualification activities
    • managing the Permit to Work process onsite for various shutdown and contractor activities
  • Design & Drafting services – platform design, retrofitting of platform scale

Pharmaceutical Processing Equipment - Australian Standards Compliance

Project Details: Overseas purchased processing equipment is not always compliant with Australian Standards, which can expose the company and employees to risk. Auditing for compliance will identify major risk concerns.

Services Provided: GRG completed electrical and machinery guarding / function safety gap assessment; machinery risk assessment; and provided recommendations for appropriate rectification works.

Project Details: Produce an Electrical Specification for purchase of Overseas Sourced Equipment to minimise Australian Standards Compliance issues. (using primarily ISO / IEC standards and gap analysis).

Services Provided: Held meetings with client to analyse needs, produced gap analysis of relevant international standards and Australian standards, and drafted customer-specific standard electrical specification. The customer will be able to use this specification for any future equipment procurement.
